My name is Brad Fournier and I support fiscally conservative policies and progressive social reforms. Most recently, I helped grow an Alberta ag-tech company in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Mexico and Europe that provides food security and sustainability in challenging environments. I’m an innovation enthusiast and enjoy cooking, curling, and the gym.
I am a father of four, I love my family, and I’m gay.
You may not recognize me or my name because for 10 years, I was behind the scenes doing the political heavy lifting to elect a former Edmonton West Conservative MP, Rona Ambrose, while also presiding over the Edmonton - Spruce Grove constituency. I believe that when Rona left politics, so did the last progressive voice on the right; that voice had an impact, that voice saved lives around the world. Since then, I have been walking in the political wilderness trying to find the right fit for my vote. You see, my politics have not changed, but the Conservative Party sure has shifted right, hard-right.
I've had what I call a “Coming to Carney” moment, and voted Liberal for the first time in my life. And now, I’m willing to let my name stand beside the smartest and most capable individual for the job of Prime Minister of Canada, in one of the most consequential elections of my lifetime.
Perhaps you are sick of hearing “Canada is Broken” or that fringe-right language that doesn’t sit well with your spirit? Or maybe you’ve watched the CPC vote against supporting Ukraine too many times in the House? Or perhaps you've heard things from that side that just make you scratch your head?
Driving through the new boundaries of Edmonton West, 25 years of memories flooded back; my youngest children were born at the Misericordia Hospital, I lived on 142nd Street, and I watched so much lacrosse at Bill Hunter Arena. I enjoyed the most fabulous dinners on Summit Dr., former board members and mentors live nearby and my closest friend lives in Windermere. Our community makes and shapes us and I wouldn't be the person I am today without the influence of Edmonton West.
I’d like to invite you to have a fresh look at the Liberal Party under the leadership of Mark Carney; and determine which leader has already demonstrated strength against adversity, fostered new trade alliances and security agreements, and has positioned Canada as a strong and free nation.
Stand united with me, join #TeamCarney and elect a new kind of Liberal government this spring.
Vote Brad Fournier on April 28, 2025!
